Our Minister, Sandhya Jha comes to First Christian Church of Oakland from a career as a congressional staffer in Washington DC and Religious Outreach Coordinator of the national advocacy organization, The Interfaith Alliance.
After graduation from seminary in Chicago, Sandhya came to northern California to serve as Minister of Transformation for the northern California-Nevada region of the Christian Church. She serves the region part-time while serving FCC Oakland. She serves as co-moderator of the denomination’s anti-racism commission and is about to publish a book on the history of the people of color in the Christian Church.
